A compliance calendar is a dated list of the returns, payments and filings your business must complete under tax, company and labour laws. The dates depend on your entity type, registrations and turnover, so the right calendar is the one built for you. The most common dates are below.
Last updated: October 2026, for financial year 2026-27. Dates can be extended or changed by notification, so confirm the current date for your case before relying on this page. It is general information, not legal or tax advice.
Indian businesses answer to several authorities at once: the GST department, the Income Tax Department, the Registrar of Companies, labour and provident fund offices and, for non-profits, FCRA and the charity registrars. Each has its own forms and due dates. A compliance calendar puts all of them on one timeline.
The calendar is not the same for every business. A company has ROC filings that a proprietorship does not. A business without GST registration has no GST dates. An employer with staff has PF and ESI dates. For this reason, the best calendar starts with a list of the registrations and filings that apply to your entity.
For official dates and forms, check the Income Tax e-filing portal, the GST portal and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs portal. For entity-specific guides, see our pages on LLP compliance, partnership firm compliance, NGO compliance, trust compliance and bookkeeping and accounting.

Quick answers on compliance due dates in India.
A compliance calendar is a dated list of the returns, payments and filings a business must complete under tax, company and labour laws. It helps an owner see what is due, when, and under which form, so that no due date is missed.
No. The dates depend on the type of entity (company, LLP, partnership, proprietorship, trust or NGO), its registrations such as GST, TDS and PF, its turnover, and whether an audit applies. A good calendar is built for your specific entity.
For monthly filers, GSTR-1 is generally due on the 11th and GSTR-3B on the 20th of the next month. Quarterly filers under the QRMP scheme follow different dates, and the annual return is generally due on 31 December. Dates can change, so we confirm them before filing.
TDS deducted is generally deposited by the 7th of the following month. Quarterly TDS returns are generally due on 31 July, 31 October, 31 January and 31 May. Exceptions apply, such as the deposit for March, so we check the rule for each payment.
Advance tax instalments are generally due on 15 June, 15 September, 15 December and 15 March. The return is generally due on 31 July for taxpayers who need no audit and 31 October where accounts are audited, with a later date for transfer pricing cases. Extensions are sometimes announced.
A company generally holds its annual general meeting within six months of the financial year end, files financial statements in Form AOC-4 within 30 days of the meeting and the annual return in Form MGT-7 within 60 days. Directors' DIN KYC, deposits return and other forms have their own dates.
Form 11 is generally due within 60 days of year end, which is 30 May. Form 8 is generally due on 30 October. The income tax return is due on 31 July, or 31 October where accounts are audited. Changes in partners and similar events are generally reported within 30 days.
Due dates are sometimes extended by notification or circular, often for a specific class of taxpayers. Do not assume an extension applies to you. We check the latest notification for your case and update your calendar.
Depending on the law, you may pay a late fee or interest, lose a deduction or tax credit, face a penalty, or in serious cases have a registration cancelled or an entity struck off. The cost usually grows with each day of delay, so filing late is better than not filing.
Yes. After a free call we map the filings that apply to your entity, build a dated calendar and remind you ahead of each due date. We can also file the returns and forms on the calendar. We share the quote before you pay anything.
